Fixes an issue where the screen may intermittently switch to RGB testing mode.

Download Firmware
Before You Start

Firmware updates are not required for most users. Only install this update if you are experiencing a specific issue, or Pixio support has recommended it.

Warning: Updating firmware incorrectly or interrupting the process may cause issues. Follow all steps carefully and do not power off the monitor during the update.

Version compatibility: This V2.3 firmware is intended for mass-production units running V2.x firmware. Do not apply it to units on V1.x firmware — a firmware/panel mismatch can cause display issues, such as the screen entering RGB test mode. If you are unsure of your monitor's current firmware version, check it in the OSD menu or contact Pixio support before updating.

USB Drive Preparation
1
After clicking "Download Firmware," a firmware file will download to your device. Use this file for the update.
2
Format your USB memory drive to FAT32 before copying the firmware file.
3
Rename the downloaded file to MERGE.bin. Windows users: file extensions are hidden by default in Windows — make sure the full filename is MERGE.bin and not MERGE.bin.bin. To confirm, enable "Show file name extensions" in File Explorer under View > Show.
4
Copy MERGE.bin to the root directory of the USB drive. Ensure that only one .bin file exists at the root — do not place it inside any folder.
5
Safely eject the USB drive from your computer before connecting it to the monitor.
Performing the Update

Note: This monitor does not support automatic firmware updates. The update must be performed manually through the OSD menu after inserting the USB drive.

1
Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the back of the monitor.
2
The monitor will detect the firmware file and begin the update automatically. Follow any on-screen prompts.
3
Do not turn off the monitor until the update is fully complete. Prevent any interruptions where possible. If interrupted, the product will generally revert to the previous firmware version.
4
Once complete, remove the USB drive. The monitor will return to normal operation.

Note: If a DVI-HDMI converter is connected during the update, the screen may blink green. This is not a monitor-related problem — the update is still processing normally. Wait until the update is complete.

Troubleshooting — "No Update Files Found on USB Device"

If this message appears on-screen, it is likely caused by one of the following:

CauseResolution
USB drive not connected to the correct port Ensure the USB is in the designated firmware update port on the monitor
USB drive not formatted as FAT32 Reformat to FAT32 and re-copy the .bin file
Firmware file is inside a folder on the USB Move the file to the root level of the drive — not inside any subfolder
Multiple .bin files on the drive Remove all other .bin files; only one firmware .bin file should remain
File no longer has a .bin extension Re-download the firmware file and keep its .bin extension unchanged
Screen shows RGB color bars after the update Firmware/panel version mismatch (e.g., V2.3 applied to a V1.x or sample unit). Do not repeat the update. Contact Pixio support for assistance.
